Overview:
Demonstrating how you can use an integrative medical plan combining conventional and naturopathic health care to maintain and heal your body, Women's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine is the most comprehensive guide available to help you make informed choices and take charge of your health. This groundbreaking work covers the whole range of women's health concerns - from cancer prevention to contraception, heart conditions to sexually transmitted diseases - and offers sound information on safe, effective complementary therapies including vitamin supplementation, herbs, diet, bodywork and exercise. In addition, Dr. Tori Hudson provides invaluable information to help you decide when self-care is possible and when a conventional doctor or alternative healer should be consulted. Compassionate and authoritative, Women's Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine shows that an informed, integrative approach to staying well is often the best that medicine has to offer.
